Addresspollution.org is a simple and easy to use national air pollution address checker. You simply punch in your postal code, select your address and click.

This website uses data from Imperial College London to give every address in the United Kingdom an accurate, annualised reading of PM2.5, PM10 and nitrogen dioxide. An easy to understand air quality report then details the specific health effects for living there.

A free air quality report

 For the first time, everyone in every village, town or city is now able to access air pollution data at their own address or any other address, in a way that is straightforward and easy to understand. While the science is often complex, the information is presented in a simple way, with air pollution levels at that address and a simple easy to understand 1-5 rating.

The website has shifted public awareness levels of air pollution to new levels generating action and systemic change on multiple different levels. The accessible nature of the data meant that the campaign effectively changed the law, and means that air pollution disclosure before the sale or lease of a property is now mandatory.

The ambition of the Central Office of Public Interest team that created addresspollution.org? To expand the project across Europe.
