If only a serious game could help us take concrete action for the climate. Two young Frenchmen have come up with a fun and immersive workshop to help everyone try to reach the 2tCO2e/year objective!
At the end of 2019, François imagines the 2tonnes workshop. He is joined by Pierre-Alix, met at the Fresque du Climat. They decided to take action together by co-founding 2tonnes Compagnie. The 2tonnes workshops invite participants to explore the future in teams and try to limit climate change by reaching the famous 2 tonnes per year and per person by 2050. They are aimed at novices and experts, individuals, students, companies and communities.
A serious game for the climate
Designed as a serious game, the workshop provides a systemic understanding of the issues, taking into account the individual and collective dimensions of the subject, without forgetting the role of influence, a key issue in the transformation of society.
Each participant in the workshop takes stock of his or its carbon footprint, and learns about the most impactful individual actions he or she can choose to work towards reducing his or her carbon footprint. They will then be able to continue to explore the subject further for a collective impact.
Immersive, fun and educational, these workshops invite people to take action. 8,000 people have already taken part and 500 volunteers are now running the workshops. The goal is to get as many participants as possible to play around the world!
